Happy Fall to you! This season we have been gifted with some terrific warm days and beautiful scenery. I feel so grateful to be outside this Fall surrounded by the country landscape. It is a very different lifestyle from teaching high school in MPS and living in the city, which I too loved at that time, but alas life is always changing like the seasons.
My dog and I finished 8 weeks of obedience training. Our relationship deepened and I realized I was being trained in unconditional love the animals have to offer us. This dog training created an unexpected opportunity to expand my Reiki practice. I was asked to be a vendor, providing dogs Reiki, at For Pet’s Sake on December 5, 2015 at 5pm. That night the town of Mukwonago puts together an annual Christmas festival called Midnight Magic. Although I always give my dog and zoo animals Reiki, I never imagined I’d do something like this.
On November 16 at 6pm I will be speaking about Reiki and its healing benefits at the Mukwonago Library. I’m nervous and excited about this chance to educate and inform. My hope is to grow my business where I live, as well as keep my practice in Hales Corners. I’m writing on my blog and I will be posting my latest article on my site at www.BeReiki.com, if you are interested . Also, I got the idea to create a Reiki Retreat. Right now it’s a bunch of ideas: (therapeutic breath, Japanese techniques, meditation, crystals, pendulum work, and so on). The idea is to create a weekend where people can have a mini-vacation and they can learn and practice different techniques to enhance and deepen one’s current Reiki practice. Since this is in the formative stages, if this is something you would consider attending or have thoughts on what you’d like let me know.
